World Airport Awards, Skytrax
The World Airport Awards, which have been in operation since 2000, were created to offer customer satisfaction research that is genuinely worldwide in breadth and coverage. They evaluate customer service and amenities at more than 550 airports and are considered the industry standard for quality in the airport sector. There is no airport control over or input with the survey or prizes.
The World Airport Survey surveys, which were completed by airport visitors from over 60 different countries during the survey period, served as the foundation for the Awards. The poll measured consumer satisfaction.
