- Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is a non-profit organization that operates 12 public hospitals, community clinics, and a nationwide ambulance service.
Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC)
Primary Health Care Corporation is committed to improving people’s health and well-being in Qatar by operating and administering various Health Centers throughout the country.
PHCC has more than 23 health centers spread throughout three primary regions: Central, Western, and Northern regions. Thirteen of these centers are located in Doha, with the remaining Health Centres dispersed throughout Qatar in inhabited locations.
These Health Centres offer a wide range of health services that vary depending on the location and needs of each area, with a set of goals that are primarily focused on maintaining Qatari citizens’ health and wellness, as well as providing long-term and consistent support to patients and their families.
If you’re not feeling well, go to one of these Health Centres first. Once you’ve seen a doctor at a Health Centre in your neighborhood, the doctor will determine whether you require additional medical treatment and, depending on your medical assessment, will send you to one of the major government hospitals.
To make an appointment at a Health Centre, dial 107.
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC)

HMC is the first healthcare organization outside of the United States to have all of its hospitals re-accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), and the ambulance service and home healthcare service obtained JCI certification in 2011.
