Hamad International Airport Ranked World’s Best Airport by Skytrax
Hamad International Airport (HIA) has been ranked to World’s Best Airport for 2021 by Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The award, which was decided by consumers, is a significant moment for the HIA. The Awards for Best Airport in the Middle East, the World’s Best Airport in the 25 to 35 million passenger category, and the “Best Airport Staff” in the Middle East were all given to Hamad International Airport.
Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Operating Officer, remarked,

The 2021 World Airport Awards honor global airports’ efforts to adapt to and overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the global pandemic, the world’s air transport business has faced its most stressful and financially difficult period ever, and airports have invested to offer the safest possible environment for their customers and employees.
COVID-19 has had a greater impact on some locations and airports than others, with several areas experiencing few, if any, international services for more than a year.
