Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations and implementing effective health and safety programs. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
- Ensuring compliance with Qatari labor laws and international safety standards.
- Training employees on occupational safety and hazard prevention.
- Investigating workplace incidents and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinating with site managers and supervisors to enhance workplace safety.
- Preparing reports and documentation related to safety inspections and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the GCC in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
- OSHA 32 Hours Training
- IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training sessions and risk assessments.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and safety documentation.
