Qatar Received its first Typhoon Aircraft

Typhoon aircraft is a fourth-generation multi-role highly combating aircraft. It is used for air operations of any kind. Typhoon is used in peace as well as in conflicts of high intensity. It is the world’s most advanced and famous bomb fighter aircraft with both active and passive avionic systems.

Typhoon Development:

Typhoons are developed by the collective efforts of the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It is delta wing aircraft with the ability of surface attack. Typhoon is also referred to as the backbone of combat air defense.

It can travel twice the speed of sound at an altitude of up to 55,000 feet which is 16.7 kilometers. Typhoon has a wingspan of 10.95 meters which is 35.9 feet.

Qatar First Typhoon Fighter Aircraft:

Recently on the 15th of August, Monday Qatar received its first Typhoon aircraft. It will provide huge support to Qatar during FIFA World Cup. The fighter aircraft is made up of carbon fiber composites, glass reinforced plastic, aluminum-lithium, aluminum, and titanium casting.

The Qatar armed forces received Typhoon aircraft for the very first time in the history of Qatar from the UK. The ceremony was held in Warton by BAE systems. Typhoon will be delivered to Qatar through channels from the UK in the month of August 2022.

The auspicious event took place in Warton under the guardianship of Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al Attiyah, Minister of State for Defence Affairs. Commander Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF), Major General Jassim Muhammad Ahmed Al Mannai was also present at the ceremony.

Typhoon aircraft will provide security for the FIFA World Cup which is to be held from the 20th of November. Typhoon is of great significance and is another initiative of strong bonds between Britain and the Middle East.
